Angling United is a community of anglers who have a passion for fishing, conservation of our resources, and content creation. The videos, photos, and articles you see on Angling United are completely made up of and driven by the community itself. We want you to be involved and part of the team!
It’s incredibly easy and free to become an Angling United content creator
Just send any of your Youtube video links, articles you write, or photographs you take to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will review the content we receive and post it directly to the website.
We want our content producers to be center stage. Every video, article, or photograph will have links to the authors YouTube channel, Instagram, Facebook, and twitter. Once 5 videos, articles, or photographs have been posted onto the website after screening, that individual will be given a full profile page with a photo gallery and YouTube thumbnails to a few videos of your choosing.
ALL PHOTOS, VIDEOS, AND ARTICLES WILL HAVE THEIR OWN COMMENTS SECTION TO BE DISCUSSED BY ANGLING UNITED MEMBERS. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A CONTENT CREATOR TO BE A MEMBER OF ANGLING UNITED.
Videos must contain the following information in the Youtube description to be featured on Angling United.
- Date of production
- Species targeted
- Weather (be as detailed as possible, wind direction, moon phase, post frontal, pre frontal. You can copy and paste from weather.com)
- What times you fished from
- Water conditions (clarity, temperature if you have sonar)
- How many fish you caught, along with big fish of the day
- How many fish you lost
- Estimation of how many bites you got on the day
- Patterns used (get nerdy about it, talk about how you were finding your bites on the southeast corners of floating docks on the north end of the lake with green pumpkin brush hogs, talk about your justification for using the colors you were, talk about what you were doing and why you were doing it in as much detail as possible.)
Any of the above information that you can include in the video itself is great! This information is required to be posted on Angling United because it virtually guarantees that anyone who watches the video can gain knowledge from it and become a better angler. If you have expensive cameras great! If you have a go pro great! If you are recording from a phone great! As long as you include that info the video can still be informative.
We receive hundreds of pictures every day, and we love to feature as many as we can on Angling United’s Instagram and Facebook page. On the website however, we are going to post only the very best or most interesting pictures that we receive. We want to explain the stories behind each photograph we post, so to increase your odds of being featured please include as much detail as possible! Obviously we are a fishing organization, but if you have a fantastic nature photo that transports us to the outdoors when we look at it we would feature those as well! Remember though, details, details, details!
No length requirement, no length limit. Write about what you are good at, what you are bad at. Write about what you love about fishing. Write about how you fish. Write about what you do differently. Write about the day you fell in love with fishing. Be yourself, express yourself in writing, and submit your articles/essays to be featured in our articles section. We will post any article of relevant subject matter once the piece is properly proofread and edited to not contain spelling/grammatical errors.
